 For almost 20 years Dave has guided clients through complex turnaround situations. From advising publicly traded companies through bankruptcy to helping stable companies achieve maximum returns on their assets, he brings an extensive background in restructuring and negotiating to each engagement. Dave has restructured more than $1.5 billion in real estate assets. Prior to becoming a founding partner of HMS, he was instrumental in the turnaround of the Cook Company, one of the largest commercial developers in the Sacramento region. He oversaw a 350-acre master planned development including office, industrial, retail, multi-family and residential land and buildings. Early in his career Dave worked for CB Richard Ellis and in the management consulting practice at KPMG. Recently, he was named to the California Real Estate Journal’s “California Dealmaker” list, a ranking of the state’s premiere advisors, attorneys, brokers, lenders and developers.
