Yan Tomimoto

Yan Tomimotoi

Yan is an entrepreneurial and hands-on financial executive with more than fifteen years of experience. She specializes in cash flow modeling, lease and loan restructuring, acquisitions and development in the real estate industry including retail, office, multi-family and single family residential and land development.

In addition, Ms. Tomimoto has a range of experience working with companies in debt restructuring and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.    She has managed the day-to-day operations of bankruptcy cases – preparing business plans, operating budgets, cost reduction initiatives, repayment projections, liquidation and claim deficiency analysis.

Prior to joining the HMS team, Yan was a former client, as the Director of Finance at Reynen and Bardis Communities (R&B), a $1 billion residential real estate builder and developer in Sacramento and Reno. Yan worked closely with the CFO to secure financing for a multitude of development projects.

Prior to R&B, Yan was an acquisition and development analyst at Legacy Partners, a commercial real estate development company, where she was responsible for underwriting and executing real estate transactions and joint venture investment in excess of $500 million. Prior to Legacy Partners, Yan was an acquisition and financial analyst at Burnham Pacific (REIT), and she underwrote more than $500 million in assets, negotiated purchase and sales agreements, conducted due diligence and market research, and spearheaded financial modeling.

Yan is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
